It was clear from the beginning that this book was going to be really good.
Let's start with the male character now. A man marked by injustice, who suddenly and without knowing why sees himself behind bars, away from his son and his wife. In a short time he realized that his wife was not so dedicated since it was enough to know that there was something against him, even without knowing whether it was true or not, she filed for divorce papers. It was obvious that when he saw himself out there he was going to take advantage of all the freedom he could have to put justice in his place and prove that he was imprisoned unjustly. That's where we met, and so did he, our female character, Hope. A young woman also with a somewhat troubled present and a past with enough disgust for a few people. She sees herself without the innovative restaurant that she managed to open with a lot of sacrifices, but now she is without money, without the car of the father who was a kind of family member and with the same father in a care home due to the misfortune of life.
The way they know each other is, to say the least, hilarious. And if, at the beginning, JR was very much against the idea of relating to her, that desire to have something more with her gradually grew in him and that sense of protection was born in relation to everything that concerns her.
All of this always happens against his will, but the heart wants what the heart wants and there is nothing to do against it.
There are couples that are made in the stars and this couple is one of them. Hope and JR bring us moments of great passion, desire, humor, tenderness and, of course, love. Oh.. and some discussions too :p
I must say that I also loved the character of Scout, JR's younger brother, who always seemed to me to be a lot of fun and, above all, faithful to his brother. I would like to see more about it, sincerely.
I enjoyed a lot the way Tia Louise writes and presents situations to us always in a very fluid and attractive way.
