Review | Six Month Rule | A.J. Pine

She created the game, but the rules are about to change.

Taurus: Hold fast to your single-minded nature today—no matter how long her legs or how lush her red lips.
Gemini: You were a shining star last night, but reality can be a real—well, you get the picture. Just remember: Tall, dark, and British equals no corner office for you.

Will Evans never wanted a reason to stay.
Holly Chandler wants nothing more than for him to go.
But neither one is prepared for what can happen in six months. Because it doesn't matter what you want when what you need walks out the door.
Holly’s been busting her butt to make partner at Trousseau and there’s no way she’s going to let some stuck-up British arsehole get in her way—no matter how drop-dead gorgeous he is. But that doesn’t mean she can’t have a little fun in the process. She has a six-month rule: date just long enough for the honeymoon phase to wear off, then walk away before anyone gets hurt. If they both know the rules up front, walking away will be a piece of cake. Or maybe not…

Today is the launch for this little treasure. After reading the first one, "The One That Got Away", that tell's us the story of Brynn and Jamie, best friends since ever, on this one we have Holly's story with Will Evans.
Holly is Brynn's younger sister, and she works on events organization. That's when she meets "old" British accent Will Evans.
I have to say that I loved this couple. She is irreverent, hilarious, smart and she really knows what she's doing and what she wants. And what does she want? She simply doesn't want to get caught on love suferring and heartbroken. I understand her, I really do. A heart broken really does hurt a bunch.
What about him? Will Evans? Well... he is.... European lol... (that's my Continent... Europe). He is responsible and a selfmade man. His only purpose is to set a good life for him and his sweet Sophie. His daughter. And she is really sweet. I could melt for that litlle princess.
Along the way, Holly and Will eventually will find a way to get that attraction to result. Because... she has a Six Month Rule. No relationship ever lasts longer than that and she is the living proof.
But, Will is not any man... he is confident and sweet, hard and tender and most off all, he wants to settle down and give his daughter all that he couldn't until that moment... but.. than came Holly and all his plans were blowned away like a paper sheet. All the rules had to be broken... She fell in love for him and for Sophie and that is nothing she can do about this... neither did he... he also fell for her since the first "this shoes is from last season".
This story will remain in my mind for a really long time and I really can't wait to read the next "chapter" of this Kingston Ale House.
It was also very nice to see Brynn and Jamie again and realize that they really were made for eachother. Love them all.
