Book Release | Hunter | Tracy Lorraine | Give Me Books Pr

I’m a nobody... until everybody realizes who I am and who I’m related to.
Then it’s like a giant target is painted on my back. They all think they can use me to climb the Rosewood High royalty ladder.
They obviously underestimate me. I won’t cower down or give in.
They can’t break me. But he can... without even trying.
Zayn Hunter.
He doesn’t want to use me... he’s already at the top— one of the Kings of the school.
He wants something else. Something he can’t have.
Me.
Yet he’s always there, living up to his name. Stalking me, like I’m his prey...
Maybe I am.
Even with the teasing and taunting, he’s not the real predator. He’s my protector.
His rescuing could be my undoing.
Because not everything is a game, and the boy I love to hate isn’t the only one watching.
He just might be the only one who sees me... the real me.
I just hope it’s enough.

*I received this ARC in exchange for a sincere review*

I must say that I was really looking forward to this new book in the Rosewood High series coming out to be able to continue the Fierce that brings us the story of Chelsey and Shane.

In this fifth book in the series we have the troubled story between Zayn and Poppy, Harley's best friend, Zayn Hunter's younger sister.

Since Poppy's can remember, she has dreamed of Zayn. However, even though they are almost eighteen, and it has been a few years since their first kiss, on his fifteenth birthday, Poppy knows that he is out of her reach. He treats her badly and in front of everyone else ignores her and does nothing to show that he always wanted her as soon as he laid eyes on her.

Zayn is known to be a womanizer. Everything that moves, he picks up, but Poppy is different. She learned to stay out of his way and any hurt or suffering he might inflict on her.

Over the days, Zayn discovers that Poppy is much more than what is in sight. She is a young woman who from an early age had to take on family responsibilities and take care of her younger siblings because of her parents' irresponsibility and addictions. She had to deal with the horrifying and destructive harassment of Preston in her own school for several months, a wealthy boy who only wanted the way to head the football team, which belongs to Poppy's cousin Jake Thorn, but who developed an unhealthy obsession for her and will get no rest until he manages to destroy her in all possible ways.

Once again, Tracy Lorraine brings us a story that messes with our guts and moves us at the right times. Young teenagers at the height of their lives shouldn't have to go through so much drama and suffering, whether physical or psychological, but Tracy always manages to make these characters better people and, in the end, be it for good or for badly, they manage to find their place in the right place.

Looking forward to the story of Ruby and Ashton :)
